Don Pepe, La Casa de Abuelo (Honey)
Unroasted – Net Weight 32 ounces (908 grams)
Costa Rica is one of the world's most popular microlot origins, delivering very consistent quality year after year. Don Cesar Urena is the owner/operator of the Don Pepe micromill. He's been producing coffee his entire life. Tarrazu's microregion of San Isidro de Leon Cortes has the perfect microclimate and natural water sources for coffee farming and processing. Don Cesar processed this microlot from coffee grown on his own farm, La Casa de Abuelo. He is a genius with Naturals and Honeys; he processes only carefully-selected deep red cherry sangre de toro, or “bull's blood.”
Roasting: We conservatively recommend that you roast this, and most Costa Rican coffees, to City / Medium – with no oil on the surface of the roasted beans. For espresso, try a darker roast.
